What Road Are We Taking?

A road is defined as a way leading from one place to another. Expressway, by road, feeder road, access road, dirt road, grid road and side road. Life is like a road with  different courses, ways and routes... distinct surfaces, lanes and passes, but exists with a purpose.

When we are on the mountain top life is like is a picnic or a party, but what about  when life in the lowest valley? We meet roadblocks along the way? In times of frustration, discouragement, doubt, struggle, loneliness and heaviness... what road are we taking? Is it the easy broad road which makes us comfortable though it leads to destruction and confusion? Or the other way around, kind a bit rough and long but it will lead us to a place where there’s safety and peace. Yes, it is a narrow road, a very thrilling journey but  it leads to life full of joy and contentment.

All of us go through struggles in life in a different level and degree. The enemy wants to paralyze our potential and our destiny. He give us distractions and hindrances not to taste the fullness of God and His abundance. He will always find a way to distort our attention and focus to God. He wants to press us down and be in the bottom under a heavy load of cares, anxieties, or feel annoyed. Maybe you’ve been carrying a load of hurt, you’ve been wronged by others, or maybe you have a physical ailment. Whatever it may be I want you to know that there’s a road leading you to answer every questions in your mind and comfort every cares in life. That road is Jesus Christ! He will turn your troubles into triumphs.

The Bible in John 14:6 says, “I am the way, the truth, and the life...” He is calling you and saying “Come to me and I will give you rest... For my yoke is easy and my burden is light.” He is the road to redemption, the absolute and perfect road of salvation. Don’t entertain the lies of the enemy that you are useless, you have no good future and that there’s no way you’ll be changed. No matter what your past is, He will always there ready to change and cleanse you. He speaks strength, healing, protection and victory to you. He will fill you with His unspeakable joy so that you can live as an overcomer all the days of your life. He will overshadow you with His peace that passes all understanding which the world cannot give. He will empower and guide you because He loves you and has good things in store for your future. He loves you unconditionally...

"No matter what your past is, He will always there ready to change and cleanse you."

Instead of spending much time on the negative side thinking on what you’ve done wrong, the mistakes that made you devastated, dwell on what you’ve done right in the sight of God and start thanking and believing that He has big things for you. You are forgiven, accepted and loved. Receive His forgiveness so you can live fully and boldly to His throne of grace.

Psalm 73:26 says, “My flesh and my heart may fail, but God is the strength of my heart and my portion forever.” You may be facing huge challenges and see impossible circumstance around you, it may look like won’t never ever change, but God is saying you today, “Come and let me be your portion.”

Take His road and you will never regret it. Accept Him as your Lord and Savior. Just keep taking the road of Jesus for He created you to enjoy and endure life with Him.

Pray this prayer:

Heavenly Father, thank You for Your grace and mercy. Thank you for your love to me and inviting me into Your presence. Thank You for saving and dying on the cross for me. I receive You as my Lord and Saviour. I receive Your forgiveness. Teach me Your ways that I may walk in Your truth all the days of my life. In Jesus’ Name. Amen.
