Have you ever failed at something? Have you experienced anger inside and regretted what you have done? Tell me if I'm wrong... But in life, we all have experienced failing. Maybe on different levels and degrees of frustration but the outcome is still the same... discouragement and the "giving up" mindset.
I've known some people who were stuck in their failure experience and had a hard time to move on because of discouragement, guilt and regret. We have to remember that we can overcome through God's strength. His grace has been poured out so we can be victorious in our battles.
Oftentimes though, when we make mistakes it is pretty easy to think that we are not good enough and think that we cannot recover and be forever miserable. Don't worry, we are not alone. The Scripture says, we've all sinned and fall short of the glory of God, no one is exempted - everyone is entitled of receiving the life-failure-diploma. However, there is good news for you and me, it did not stop there... Jesus came so we can be restored, renewed and redeemed!!! Failure is not the end process of life. God is in the business of doing great things in our lives even we fail.
He is able to turn our trouble into triumph.
He can restore, transform and reform the broken pieces as long as we come to Him and humble ourselves. Let us receive the forgiveness of sin and assurance of salvation with the full package of the abundance of His grace. If you have Christ in life you are no longer under the condemnation of the enemy. Romans 8:1 says, "There is therefore now condemnation to those who are in Christ Jesus." You are under Christ's provision not under crisis limitation.
All through scripture, we see God use men and women do great exploits for Him even though they made mistakes in the past because it is His grace that overshadows every situation in our lives. Like Peter in the New Testament, he denied Jesus three times. He was disturbed and distraught after that scene and felt horrible. Can you imagine what he was feeling? Yet, after he received the Holy Spirit, he went on to do great things for Jesus and led 3,000 people, baptizing them in His name.
What I've learned from this story is to keep moving forward and let the past be the past. Meaning to not let the moment of shame stop you from the great plan ahead. Learn to handle failure in a right way - a stepping stone not a stumbling block for God will help us to get back up again.
This is what I love about my God is while we are still sinners and made mistakes, He still loves us and relentlessly pursues us to give life abundantly. Be encouraged, you might stumble and fall but God will restore you and bless you beyond your imagination. Stand up shake off the dust and keep moving for it is not final yet.
