According to the dictionary, PERSEVERANCE is steadfastness in doing something despite difficulty. Dutifully firm and unwavering. Let me say this that even in the midst of storms in life, despite with what’s going on around us, even when the world seems crumbling down or when hope looks far away, we still persevere to stand on His Word. If God is for us, who can be against us? Persevere to trust God. Be steadfast to count it all joy when facing many trials in life for we know that our faith develops perseverance. If this is you, keep the fight of faith! You are victorious.
The Bible says in James 1:4, “Perseverance must finish its work so that you may be mature and complete, not lacking anything.” If we want our lives to have fullness which is more than our career, abundance more than gold or silver, and completeness more than success or fame - persevere and consider it all pure joy! Don’t ever say never... don’t give up for we are not quitters, rather, we are overcomers!
Sometimes we forget that God loves us so much and that He values us with high regard. Instead of being smitten with the confusion we are stuck-in or might possibly be stuck in if every thing turns out for the worst, - try to fill our minds with TRUTH instead. Dwell and learn valuable truth from His Word, the Bible, for it will broaden our world, sharpen our mind, inflame our heart, and heal our soul.
Let us eliminate mental junk thoughts that affect our spiritual health and future. Replace it with eternal truths everyday, the character of God - His greatness, goodness, and faithfulness. Rely on the promises He has given us. Philippians 4:8 says,"Finally, brothers, whatever is true, whatever is noble, whatever is right, whatever is pure, whatever is lovely, whatever is admirable - if anything is excellent or praiseworthy - think about such things."
And yet this perseverance is not the main goal. Definitely not the ultimate goal. But it is what makes possible for us to reach the goal - above perseverance, not lacking anything. This means peace that the world cannot give and contentment so vast and so profound that we no longer crave what we once thought were important to us. Instead, we have everything we need... Jesus Christ Himself! Oh what a glorious life to declare that He is our shepherd; We shall not be in want!
Above perseverance that even in our trials we have indescribable peace, unspeakable joy, anointing in a highest level, soul that is uncluttered by greed, heart that is filled with the very presence of God.
Don’t forget that trials and challenges have their own limit. It is only a seasonal thing and will not last forever. The truth is, only His Word will last forever. Hallelujah!
My family has encountered a huge trial years ago when my dad passed away because of cancer. Honestly, there was war ravaging inside my heart and mind that day crying out loud that His healing touch was what we need. However, out of that devastating situation, my entire family stood together and never gave up to trust the Greatest Healer. By God’s grace, we persevered to move forward and have the confidence that God’s comfort will always surround us deeply and inexpressibly - beyond describable. Let me utter this that cancer cannot and will not hinder the flow of joy and peace in us. It cannot not stop us from praising and worshipping the glorious King.
Why worry? Don’t be enslaved with the spirit of anxiety and uncertainty. God is in control of everything. We are significantly important to Him. We are fearfully and wonderfully made by His own image. We are blessed. We are valued. We are loved by the Most Hight God. That’s who we are. So therefore to conclude, rejoice not in things nor ourselves, not even in our blessings but... REJOICE IN THE LORD ALWAYS! In the Lord always. Be grateful and in everything give thanks.
